2D Shooter - Tutorial Version
A little in-development space game! Here is what I plan to modify:
- Change the player movement system to a thruster velocity system to feel more realistic and create more interesting movement where you have to think ahead about how your inputs will effect where you could crash
- Significantly improve the level design, make obstacles and paths you have to navigate
- Make the levels very dark, you have to send some sort of flare or shine a flashlight to light it up
- Make some spooky music
- New enemy type that has a vision cone, has a red light you can see, only chases the player if they are in the vision cone, vision cone expands when the player is in view
- Variant of the previously mentioned enemy that turns their ship off, hiding the light. They reveal themselves if the player gets close, if a flare is nearby, if they see laser being fired, or if something bumps into them
- Change laser system to have slow firing shots that only temporarily disable enemies instead of killing them
- Player wins if they get to a goal at the end of a level
- Add more levels (and make existing ones actually cool
